Spotlight
SUMMER CAMPSSummer camp offers kids a haven and an escape from the outside world to a place where both children and adults are able to fulfill hidden potential and discover new horizons. We are fortunate to have many options when it comes to camp, including a camp right in our own back yard.
Miracle Ranch is a Christian camp located near Port Orchard on the Kitsap Peninsula. They specialize in horsemanship classes—Western and English—and offer fun and unique summer camp with horses and activities like swimming and paintball, along with fireside time and a Bible study theme.
Day Camp or Resident Camps are available for kids of all ages. Day Camp starts for the very young, first Grade. Resident Camps are also available for kid starting in Fourth Grade through High School. For more information on Summer Day Camp or Resident Camp at Miracle Ranch,

For Students in Middle School and High School, there is nothing like the experience at a
Young Life Camp. Young Life camps are world famous because they provide amazing opportunities for kids to have an unbelievable time with their friends in a safe, positive environment. At camp, kids have the adventure of a lifetime. And while they're at it, they have an opportunity to explore their eternity!
Regional Young Life camps include BeBee Bridge Wakeboard Camp for freshman in June, Wildhorse Canyon in August for Middle School Students and Malibu in August for High School Students. Regardless of the facility, the experience is the same — kids getting away from the pressures of everyday life, having fun with friends and their Young Life leaders and hearing the message of God's love in terms they can understand.
Early registration is encouraged. For more information on Young Life camps available for our students, including registration forms

MEXICO MISSION 2008
On
July 27th, for one week, HCC will embark on our 7th trip to the Rancho Milagro Orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico. The kids at Rancho Milagro look forward every year to our group coming down to have the greatest week of their life. We fly into San Diego and rent vans to take us the rest of the way into Mexico. Speaking the language is definitely not necessary, being able to hug a child and play with them is. We will also do some small work projects around the orphanage.
The first mandatory informational meeting is schedule after at 11:30 a.m., Sunday April 20th, in the Peninsula High School Library. The cost of the trip is $700 per person; the first non-refundable deposit of $350 is due by
May 4th. If you are interested in receiving more information or confirming your spot,

Open House for you to get a first hand tour of all the services that they provide. Join them at the
Eagles Club, 4425 Burnham Drive between 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22nd. See first hand what Fish Food is all about. For more information or to join the Fish Food Bank Small Group here at HCC,

CARENET BABY BOTTLE FUNDS
In January, we celebrated Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, in hosting
CareNet here in Gig Harbor and supporting there ministry by collecting spare change. CareNet Centers offer free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, peer counseling services, and other practical, emotional, and spiritual help to empower women and men facing pregnancy related concerns. We distributed over 240 baby bottles and have received over
100 of those back filled with donations of now over $1900. If you still have a bottle to return, please do so as soon as possible to either the church office or to the Information Table on Sunday mornings. Don't forget to fill those bottles and return them next week!
