TWILIGHT MOPS @ HCC
This Mother's Day weekend, we wanted to highlight a program at HCC just for moms.....MOPS! MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban, and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single, and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be!

HCC has been supporting MOPS in Gig Harbor for 10 years first with a day-time program and most recently with an evening program, Twilight MOPS. Twilight MOPS has become a place for moms to stop, relax, reflect and most of all have fun and make connections. It is our goal to encourage, equip and develop EVERY mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, wife, and mother, by offering moms the support and hope we all need. Twilight MOPS meets at 6:45 pm on non-consecutive Thursday evenings through the school year.

Although the 2008-09 year is coming to a close, early registration is already starting for 2008-09. Through May 31st you can register for next year at current pricing, just $70. Starting June 1st, registration fees will increase to $79.95. Your registration fee covers your MOPS International membership and the first semester meeting fees from September through January. MEXICO MISSION 2008

On July 27th, for one week, HCC will embark on our 7th trip to the Rancho Milagro Orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico. The kids at Rancho Milagro look forward every year to our group coming down to have the greatest week of their life. The cost of the trip is $350 per person; participants are responsible for their own airfare to San Diego. Only 4 spots remain open for this trip. Completed paperwork and the deposit are required to secure your spot. Another avenue for you to participate, if you cannot attend, is to donate frequent flyer miles towards a ticket. LATE NITE @ THE YMCA - HIGH SCHOOL

Late Nite is taking off! Over 160 high school students are filling the YMCA after-hours on Friday nights. Late Nite has been a blast with the rock climbing, basketball, and other activities. Most recently, concerts have been added for a whole new dimension. What has really been great, according to Josh, Student Ministries Pastor, is just talking and getting to know the kids. "There have been some great friendships built because of Late Nite and I am so excited to see all this continue into the Summer. I hope to see you there too!" GET CONNECTED - VOLUNTEER @ HCC

Sunday mornings are a great way to get connected and feel apart of what happens at HCC. Volunteering is exciting and dynamic and a great way to make a difference and meet people. When you volunteer at HCC you become part of the solution. Step up! Get in the game and experience living life beyond yourself. We are currently looking for volunteers to greet and host on Sunday mornings, as well as volunteers at the coffee table for both the 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services.
