MINISTRY PARTNERS - REACH
Several weeks ago during our series, These Two Hands, Gino talked on using our own two hands in serving and reaching out to those with HIV/Aids. We highlighted one such ministry in our own back yard, as a place where you can get started in a tangible way.

REACH Ministries, here in Tacoma, works to extend compassionate care and the love of Jesus to those affected by HIV/AIDS. REACH currently serves 300 families in the Northwest, through mentoring, kid's camp and support for families.

You can support REACH in many ways like becoming a mentor to a child or parent or volunteering in many capacities as a family, small group or just on your own. So many opportunities exist to volunteer for a few hours, a day or become more involved with families on a long term basis. You can volunteer a day in the office, join in on a painting project, put together camp baskets, be a mentor and so much more.

We want to continue to be involved and be intentional about walking together with the ministry REACH and need someone from HCC to be the point person. Please let us if that's you. office@HCCtoday.com

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY SMALL GROUP @ HCC

We recently received an update from Judy Grienke, HCC's Small Group Leader for Habitat for Humanity on summer projects in our area..."the Gig Harbor/Key Peninsula Chapter of Habitat will be building two homes in Vaughn this summer. Although construction was initially delayed waiting for permits, inspections, and water, we now have the "go ahead" on three building sites. Construction will begin shortly, with families already in place and anxious to be involved in building their homes. There will be lots of opportunities to volunteer and be part of this process."
