HCC STRATEGIC INITIATIVES
This past Sunday, we spent a few minutes sharing several initiatives that we as leaders have been considering as we look toward this fall.

Our Sunday schedule this summer has worked out great, but as soon as fall begins and people return from vacation, empty chairs will be very valuable.

It is our desire is to provide as many open seats as possible each Sunday. As a result, several changes are being considered for this fall:

One Hour - Two Spots: The talent and numbers of our musicians alongside advances in technology allow us to provide several venues on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am. While one service is happening in the auditorium, we can have a second service simultaneously happening 50 feet down the hallway in the library. The library can seat over 150 people and would include live music like we enjoy each Sunday in the auditorium. The talk, then, would be projected live onto a large screen so that everyone can simultaneously hear the same message. What is great about this concept is that it provides open seats at the optimum time for people to come to church.

Kids Zone: Our second initiative is very exciting, especially for the more than 70 kids who are a part of Kids Zone. We will be moving our Kids Zone to the Commons area which is 4 times the size of the room which we are currently using. This size room will allow us have to an indoor inflatable slide every week, a separate stage area for creative music and programming, and tables for small group time. We are very excited about the potential of including up to 200 children each Sunday who would be taught character building lessons from the Bible.

MAKE THE PLEDGE-TAKE THE PLUNGE

One of the most important events in the life of a follower of Christ is Water Baptism. This is an opportunity for believers to make a public profession of their faith and identify themselves as followers of Christ. We encourage everyone at HCC to follow through with this important event in their lives. Our next water baptism will be Sunday, September 14th, at noon at Miracle Ranch. If you are interested in talking further about baptism or if you would like to be baptized on Sunday, September 14th CLICK HERE TO RSVP today and complete the short baptism form. We will contact you with all the details for that day.

SUMMER EDGE, SUNDAYS 3-6

The Edge, HCC's High School Ministry, is ramping up to build community for the students at HCC. We are kicking off The Edge by having wakeboarding, inner tubing, BBQ'ing, and playing games while also growing in our faith through worshipping God and hearing a biblically-based, relevant message. Join us for The Summer Edge on Horsehead Bay; Sundays from 3-6 p.m. CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS.
