STUDENT MINISTRIES SUNDAY....Join us this Sunday and we hear from
Josh, Student Ministries Pastor, about the many exciting things happening for students @ HCC. We will have a recap of the summer, including an update from the
Mexico Team on their time at Rancho Milagro. We will also hear from high school students about their camp experience at
Malibu! So many great things happened over the summer, but we are also looking forward to what is up for students this fall....
FAZE3: Faze3 is for
Middle Schoolers and our focus is to give students a basis to choose friends carefully, “do the next right thing,” and learn what God has in store for them. We believe in acceptance without exception--- because everybody has something special to offer. Faze3 will be meeting back in the gym again, starting
September 7th, with live music, games and talks. Don't miss out.
The Edge: The Edge, for
High School Students, has been meeting on Sunday afternoons all summer, enjoying food, sun and Rob's boat! As school starts we will be moving to
Wednesday nights, 7:00 p.m. at Henderson Bay High School. We are cranking it up on Wednesdays with music, high energy and games. Check out "What's Up" for more details!
Late Nite @ Y: Late Nite @ the YMCA will host high school students (members and non-members) every
Friday, from 9:30 to midnight, except the first Friday of the month. The entire facility is open for students to participate in rock climbing, weight-lifting, open gym, games, and more.
6*7*8 Nite also returns the first Saturday night of the month for Middle Schoolers from
9:30-11:00 p.m.
We are closing out the summer with
The Ultimate High School Party. Before school starts, join Josh, Young Life and all area youth groups for The Ultimate High School Party.
Sunday, September 7th, from 3:00-8pm, chill with masses of high school kids. Fill a boat and go tubing; watch a concert; wolf a burger; dive off the pier; catch some rays; wake surf; co-ed tube wars.
We are excited about the many things planned for students this year....from hanging out together to serving with the Boys and Girls Club. If you are interested in serving with students or talking more with
Josh about Student Ministries, email him at josh@hcctoday.com.

MAKE THE PLEDGE - TAKE THE PLUNGE
One of the most important events in the life of a follower of Christ is Water Baptism. This is an opportunity for believers to make a public profession of their faith and identify themselves as followers of Christ. We encourage everyone at HCC to follow through with this important event in their lives. Our next water baptism will be at noon on
Sunday, September 14th at Miracle Ranch. If you are interested in talking further about baptism or if you would like to be baptized on Sunday, September 14th
CLICK HERE today and complete the short baptism form. We will contact you with all the details for that day.
ONE HOUR - TWO SPOTS
Two weeks ago, we talked through the first of our four fall initiatives, including the change in the service schedule for this fall. Because we have both the talent and the technology necessary, we will be able to provide
2 Spots on Sunday mornings at
10:00 a.m. While one service is happening in the
auditorium, we will have a second service, simultaneously, in the
library. The library can seat over 150 people and would include live music like we enjoy each Sunday in the auditorium. The talk, then, would be projected live onto a large screen so that everyone can hear the same message. It is our hope that by providing open seats at the optimum time that we can invite and share with more people that they matter to God. Keep you eyes open this week for more information.
