STUDENT MINISTRIES UPDATEFall is here and all the event pieces are falling into place for
Student Ministries. Here are the pieces that are coming together to offer an awesome and transformational time for students:
Faze3
Faze3 is HCC's middle school program. Faze3 meets in the main gym, across from the library, on
Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. In the gym, we are able to provide high-energy games, including an interactive program at the beginning,dart tag, the Wii, sports, and an craft at the end. We also grow in our faith through contemporary worship, a relevant and biblical talk, and through small groups.
The Edge
The Edge, HCC's high school program will be starting this Wednesday and every Wednesday following, at Henderson Bay High School from 7-8pm. Henderson Bay will allow us to reach out to Gig Harbor, Peninsula, and Henderson Bay High School students, showing that there is a place for everyone at The Edge. We have a dedicated and skilled team in place to lead, so it should be very exciting to see where God takes us with The Edge.
In addition to weekly times together, we have a couple of things planned in the next month...
Student Ministries Hang Out:
On October 25th, Faze3 and The Edge will be going to Laser Quest, a full three levels of laser tag to chase each other around in! We will meet at Cutter's Point in Olympic Village at 2:30 pm to carpool there on that day. More details will be available as we approach October.
YoungLife Discipleship Weekend at Wildhorse Canyon, October 9th-12th. You can find a deeper faith with the inspirational and edgy worship and the thought-provoking talk. There is also going to be plenty of activities in the 88,000 square foot sports center, with basketball, volleyball, dodge ball, ping pong, billiards, climbing walls, a skate park, a workout center, and a Frisbee Golf course nearby.

ThanksMission - Compassion Weekend
Knowing that it is important to us to roll up our sleeves and serve in tangible ways, plans are in the works for our first ever
Thanks Mission - Compassion Weekend, November 29-30th. Over the course of these two days, we will have over 20 local, community based projects where individuals and families can serve. Projects will include all of our
Ministry Partners, as well as many other organizations. In addition to working with non-profits, we are hoping to also help individuals and families in our area that are in need. If you are aware of someone who needs an extra hand, please let us know right away. Proposal forms are available,

LATE NITE @ YMCA
Late Nite is taking over! Over 160 high school students are filling the YMCA after-hours on Friday nights. Late Nite has been a blast with the rock climbing, basketball, and other activities. For the new school year, Late Nite is partnering with 4 other churches and Young Life to work together to offer bigger and better programs. In addition to having the whole YMCA open for free (members and non-members) there will be food, concerts, giveaways, and lots of hilarious activities.
