THANKSMISSION - COMPASSION WEEKEND, NOVEMBER 29-30TH
For the weekend of November 29-30th, HCC will be sponsoring, ThanksMission - Compassion Weekend. Over the course of these two days, we will be involved in over 20 local, community based projects where individuals and families can serve. Projects will involve all of the Ministry Partners at HCC other non profit and community organizations, as well as individual projects to help a neighbor in need.

In the work that has been completed so far, we have confirmed projects in hand with a number of agencies including....

..Rancho Milagro, Mexico
..CareNet, Gig Harbor
..Fish Food Bank, Gig Harbor
..Hope for Life, Gig Harbor
..Youth for Christ, Tacoma
..Tacoma Rescue Mission, Tacoma
..Toy Rescue Mission, Tacoma

Our team of volunteers, coordinators and team leads continues to expand, but more people are needed. The job description is easy and entails working out the details and partnering with the agencies on how we can serve them the weekend of November 29-30th. If your are interested in becoming a point person for specific projects for this weekend, send us an email at compassion@hcctoday.com. We will provide you will all of the tools and contact information you will need.

In addition to working with the non-profit agencies noted above, we are looking for specific projects for individuals and families in our own back yard. Do you know of someone close to you, a friend or neighbor, that needs help cleaning up the yard, painting, doing home repairs? If so, please let us know right away. We would love to serve them in a tangible way. If you will submit a proposal form (CLICK HERE), we will work to do all we can to give a hand where it is needed the most.

Women's Study - Beth Moore Steppin' Up

Join the Beth Moore Women's study group for "Steppin' Up", A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent, an in-depth look at 15 Psalms. The study group will meet Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. for six weeks. Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy, these 15 psalms model how study participants can voice their own petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us. Explore the major feasts of Israel and journey with Beth through Psalms 120-134 in this 6-session study. Themes such as unity, joy and gratitude, redemption, repentance, the power of blessings, facing ridicule, and more are explored in detail. STUDENT HANG OUT - LASER QUEST

Join Josh on October 25th as both Faze3 and The Edge will be heading to Laser Quest in Federal Way. Laser Quest combines the classic games of tag and hide & seek with a high-tech twist. Donning the most sophisticated laser tag equipment available, the game is played in a large, multi-level arena featuring specialty lighting, swirling fog and heart-pounding music in a full three levels to chase, run and hide in.
