Spotlight
STUDENTS @ HCCLots of things are happening with Students @ HCC! Serving breakfast to the homeless, playing laser tag at Laser Quest, racing go-karts at the Grand Prix Raceway, or helping the needy with chores so they are freed up to do other things; all these are just some of the events that student ministries is organizing this next month. We are really reaching out to let people know the gospel, build community amongst the students, and help people of all ages find ways to serve.
Here are the events that you can be involved in:
•Faze3 for middle school students: Every Sunday at 10 a.m. in the Main Gym at PHS. We worship, listen to a biblical and relevant message, have small groups, play Nerf Dart Tag or the Wii, and many other games!
•The Edge for high school students: Every Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. at Henderson Bay High School. We have an awesome worship band, small groups, and a talk that speaks to the life of a high school student, play Nerf Dart Tag or the Wii, and have free food!
•Faze3 Hang Out: We will meet at Cutter's Point, Olympic Village at 6:15 p.m. on November 7th to head over to 20 laps of go-kart racing at the Grand Prix Raceway. Bring $20 for racing and your permission slip. We will be back by 8:00 p.m.
•The Edge: Desperate People: Area-wide youth ministries will be uniting on November 8th to go out and serve the needy through the
Need-A-Break organization. We will be cleaning, building, and tearing down, so dress appropriately. It’s only $10 for all meals. Plan to meet at Chapel Hill @ 8 a.m. for breakfast, then on to serve and back to Believer's Fellowship for dinner and worship.
Lastly, we want to welcome two new interns for the academic year 08/09-
Josh Sommers and Kalei Church! Josh and Kalei are both seniors at Gig Harbor and have been involved in HCC for several years now.
If you are interested in getting involved in the exciting things happening for students, contact Josh at
