ThanksMission - Compassion Weekend November 29-30th
In less than a month, on November 29 and 30th, we will be leaving the auditorium vacant and reaching out to our community. This weekend will be the heart of meeting needs for individuals and families, as well as non-profit service agencies around Pierce and Kitsap County. It is our hope to involve as many as 300 people in nearly 30 projects.

Last Sunday, we distributed lists of the supplies needed for various projects that we will be involved with through ThanksMission. While many of you have responded, we still have big needs that must be met. We are highlighting several key projects in today's Enews. For a list of all the projects and supplies needed, CLICK HERE. As you can see, this list has been posted on our web site, and will be available at the information table on Sundays.

In addition to the items noted on the list, one of the best ways to give is by providing gift cards to area retailers including Target, Home Depot, Lowes, Schuck's Auto Supply, or grocery store cards. Please note that gift card donations will need to be made no later than November 16th to provide adequate time for purchasing necessary items.

In the three remaining weeks before ThanksMission, here are the most crucial pieces of information you need to know....

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
There are so many ways to get involved and be a part of ThanksMission. LEAD....team leaders are still needed on several projects, come and meet on Wednesdays at Lighthouse Christian School at 7:00 p.m. SERVE...starting Sunday, November 9th, we will be hosting the ThanksMission Fair where all project sign ups will be available. DONATE...check out the supply list and see how you can be involved in providing specific items for projects.

WHERE DO I MAKE DONATIONS?
We have procured a storage facility this week, generously donated by Lighthouse Christian School. Donations can be dropped off at 3008 36th St NW. The facility will be clearly marked and open for donations M-F from 9-3:00 p.m. Donations can also be made at church each Sunday during the month of November.

Remember, while some of these projects involve swinging a hammer, many just need helping hands to clean toys, pack boxes or serve food. There is a spot for all of us to be involved, to reach out and touch lives in tangible ways.
