THANKSMISSION WEEKEND
We are doing something very different this Thanksgiving weekend. Rather than meet as we do every Sunday at Peninsula High School, we will be meeting in different locations throughout Pierce and Kitsap County serving people from all walks of life with practical acts of service.
We presently have over 500 HCC volunteers who have signed up for one of 28 projects that will be making a tangible difference in people’s lives. Teams of people will be serving in the following ways:
Rancho Milagro Orphanage – Care packages for the children in Mexico
Fish Food Bank – Collecting food at 4 major groceries stores in Gig Harbor
Habitat for Humanity – Restoring supply pantry in Tacoma
Hope for Life – Care packages for the 150 orphans in Zambia Africa
Youth for Christ – Painting and repair work at the Dreamhouse for girls.
Tacoma Rescue Mission-New Life Square, Good Neighbor Café, Tyler Square
Tacoma Rescue Mission--Jefferson Square car repair
Tacoma Rescue Mission-Emergency Family Shelter – Christmas decorations
Toy Rescue Mission – Cleaning and restoring lightly used toys
Fort Lewis - Support our Troops WOWW – Care packages for wounded soldiers
The Lord's Neighborhood Diner -Serving Lunch and dinner to the homeless
Need-A-Break – Home repair work for struggling families
Coats and Blankets Collection in neighborhoods for the homeless
Angel Tree - Providing Christmas gifts for children whose families are in prison
Wood Chopping Crew – Providing fire wood for needy families
Hospice Family – Repairing a deck and making house accessible for a family
Hospice Project - Yard work
8 Single parent homes – Doing much needed general work and upkeep
We’ll be back together next Sunday December 7th at Peninsula High School at 10:00 a.m. It will be a great Sunday as we begin our new Christmas series “HOPE”.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ centered recovery program built on the foundation of fellowship and focusing on God's healing power. It is a process of real change by working and applying Biblical principles, for spiritual growth toward the goal of freedom from addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. At this time, CR is working toward a
"Real Life Challange" four weeks to plan to change your life. Week 1: What is recovery; Week 2: Powerlessness-who me?; Week 3: God - Is He out there, and if so, can he help me?; Week 4: My issues - What are they and how are they working for me? This ministry is directed by Scott Langlow and meets
