April 5th: The Great Divide
April 12th: The Man Who Saved The World
April 19th-May 10th: Ask Anything Series
Student Ministries is really out to
serve this month of April. Service to those in need is so important, especially for students, because it opens them to a greater perspective of the world and to building a lifestyle of service.
April 11th: Help bring comfort and hope to homeless men and women by joining the HCC team that is preparing and serving dinner to the homeless at the
Lord's Diner. We will meet at Cutters Point by Fred Meyer at 2pm and return there at 6pm.
April 18th: Join us for fun on the trip or serve students by helping to drive students to Seattle. We will meet at Cutters Point at 10am and return there by 3:30pm. Students should bring $3 for gas, $20 for food and fun, and have their permission slips filled out.
April 24-25th: 30 Hour Famine is an international youth movement to fight hunger. Students fast for thirty hours and raise funds to help feed and care for children around the world. By sacrificing and serving others, they are learning to think outside themselves and see the world as Christ sees it. Students spend the night in the Chapel Hill parking lot in cardboard box structures they build. There will be a concert by Above the Golden State with Michael Watson on Friday night and a service project on Saturday morning, The food fast starts after lunch on Friday and lasts through the end of the service project on Saturday.
Sign up for these and other great events at the Student Ministries table in the lobby on Sunday mornings or by e-mailing Josh at
