Summer is heating up with the Student Ministries Program!
At Faze3 this weekend, there will be an awesome concert with professional Christian rapper Othello. To hear his music, check out
www.myspace.com/othello or get his new CD entitled “Alive at the Assembly” from iTunes. Othello will play his set starting at 10:10 and finish around 10:40 Sunday morning in the main gym at PHS.
The Summer Edge is coming again too! This fun event will begin on Sunday afternoons beginning July 5th. We will be meeting from 3-5pm at the Engebretson’s. There will be wakeboarding, jet skiing, BBQ, games, music, and a talk.
With these events, camps, and more, now is a great time to get involved in helping to lead Student Ministries. We could use people to drive a boat for the Summer Edge, lead a student growth group, help run games or icebreakers at Faze3 or the Edge, bring food, lead worship, help set up and tear down our events, or just hang out with students.
Also, if you would like to help a student go to camp for a life changing experience, then please consider hiring a student to do yard work or other house cleaning chores for you. We suggest that the students work Saturdays for three hours for a total of $30.

FOSTER CARE INFORMATION NIGHT, TUESDAY, JUNE 23RD
Join area churches in a coalition that is working to inform and impact the need for foster parents in our area. Tuesday, June 23rd, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Chapel Hill in the Gathering Place, will be an informational meeting for those interested in learning more about foster parenting. They will be covering information regarding the need in our area, personal testimonies from foster families, as well as presentations from local foster care licensing agencies. RON MARTINEZ IN NEORAL, INDIA
If you were at church last week, you know we prayed for Ron Martinez as he departed for India on a 10-day mission trip to Neoral. Ron left Wednesday on the 22-hour flight, connecting through Malaysia to India. His team of 10 hopes to visit 700 villages during their stay. It is currently 115 degrees in and around the area where they will be based. Remember to pray for Ron this week and their team as they share Christ's message with those in need.
