THIS MONTH IN KIDSZONE...KIDSZONE is the hot spot for kids ages Kindergarten through Fifth Grade @ HCC. They meet each week in The Commons for games, jumping on the inflatable slide, video worship and talks just for kids. Every month our team in KidsZone, under the leadership of
Courtney & Rusty Willson, creatively focuses on a different virtue. This month our activities, songs, games and lessons focus on the virture of
Wisdom-finding out what you should do and doing it.
Our weekly focus this month includes:
September 6th - Bottom Line- God wants to give you wisdom; 1 Kings 3:4-28
September 13th - Bottom Line- Wisdom is worth searching for. 1 Kings 10:1-14
September 20th - Bottom Line-To be wise, hang out with wise people. 2 Chronicles 10:1-19
September 27th - Bottom Line-Wisdom is knowing AND doing. Proverbs 22:3
Pre-schoolers will be learning in the month of
September the basic truth that God loves me and God can help me do anything. Their memory verse is Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ.”
September 6th - Focus-God is always ready to help.
Bible Story- The Lion and the Bear: 1 Samuel 17:34-37
September 13th - Focus- God wants me to do something important. Bible Story- David Anointed King: 1 Samuel 16:1-13
September 20th - Focus- God can help me do anything.
Bible Story- David is Strong in Battle: 1 Samuel 18:7, 12-14
September 27th - Focus-I can praise God because He helps me.
Bible Story- Israelites Praise God: 2 Samuel 6:1-5, 12-15.

FAZE3 SUMMER BASH - MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH
Join Jason and the FAZE3 Crew for the End of Summer Bash taking place Monday, September 7th from 1:00-7:00 p.m. on Fox Island. Don't miss out on the airsoft competition, ramped up hide and seek, zip line, trampoline, pool, ping pong and BBQ. Permission slips are required and are available on Sunday mornings at FAZE3.
HCC WEEKEND ROAD TRIP, NOVEMBER 28-29
Knowing the importance of rolling up our sleeves and serving in tangible ways, the second
HCC Weekend Road Trip on November 28-29th is in the works. Over the course of these two days, we will have over 30 local, community based projects where individuals and families can serve. Projects will include all of our
Ministry Partners, as well as many other organizations. In addition to working with non-profits, we are hoping to also help individuals and families in our area that are in need. If you are aware of someone who needs an extra hand, please let us know right away. Proposal forms are available and can be requested by email. We are excited about the potential for this weekend and sharing together as we work together for those in need.

HCC FAMILY GOLF OUTING
Save the date of Sunday, October 4 for the first HCC Family Golf Outing. It will be a nine hole event with a primary goal of having families meet others in the HCC community and having fun. ( No
golf experience required) kids under 13 will be free if accompanied by a paid adult! It will begin at 1:30 with Hamburgers & Hot dogs. There will be events and contests for kids and adults. There will be driving range activities. It will be 9 holes with foursomes, fivesomes or moresomes!!! THIS EVENT IS CENTERED AROUND FAMILIES HAVING FUN TOGETHER!! BETH MOORE WOMEN'S STUDY, TUESDAYS THIS FALL
Join us for a new six-week Beth Moore study titled
"LIVING BEYOND YOURSELF". This study encourages women to know the freedom of a fruitful, Spirit-filled life and looks at each trait listed in the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23. Two study groups will meet. One starting every Tuesday beginning with
Tuesday, September 22 from 12:30-2:3 at Gig Harbor North and the other beginning Thursdays, October 1 from 10:00-12:00 near Rosedale Gardens. You may choose either one of these two sessions to attend. Directions and information on ordering study materials is provided once you join the group.

CARENET FALL VOLUNTEER TRAINING
CareNet Pregnancy and Family Services is ready to train new volunteers to serve women as receptionists, pregnancy test client advocates, parenting mentors, help line volunteers. We also need medical professionals willing to assist in the operations of our medical clinic services. Next training: Thursday evenings starting September 17 through November 5; 6-9 pm at South Lakeshore Christian Church in Tacoma.
