GROWTH GROUPS @ HCC ..... HENRI MOREAU
Last Sunday, we heard from Henri Moreau. Henri will be serving as the Growth Group Director here at HCC. Because HCC is a church "OF" Small Groups, not a church "with" small groups, we are excited to see God provide a person like Henri to lead us in that direction. We wanted to take this opportunity in the enews, to introduce you to Henri and give you a chance to get to know him better.

Henri Moreau has been in ministry for the last 19 years. After graduating from Central Washington University in 1989, he served as the lead college pastor of Davis Christian Fellowship at the University of California Davis. Under Henri’s leadership, the ministry grew to one of the most esteemed college ministry programs in the nation. He attributes the success of his program to the dynamic small groups that impacted the campus and city.

Recently we asked Henri to consider a position at HCC facilitating Growth Groups. He accepted and we are excited to have him as part of our team. WE'RE MOVING .... SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18th

It should not be news to anyone now, but in case you have not heard, we are moving! Sunday morning services will be held, starting Sunday, October 18th at the Hope Center-Boys and Girls Club in Gig Harbor. Their new facility is amazing and will provide so many new opportunities for us as a church. Keep your eyes open in the coming weeks for more information and ways that you can help make this happen.

HCC FAMILY CAMP, MALIBU 2010

Join us for a great adventure with HCC Family Camp at Malibu 2010. The FIVE days, August 20-24th, will include lodging, activities, and great food. Although rates have not been set for 2010, we anticipate only a nominal increase and the same daily rate for the additional day (plus $70/person boat fare)! We will have three pricing options, Standard, Premium and Work Crew. To secure your family's spot today, make your deposit of $100 per person for Premium, $50 per person for Standard and $25 per person for Work Crew. These deposits are non-refundable, but transferable. Children 12 and under will be 1/2 price again this year, plus the applicable boat fare. HCC FAMILY GOLF OUTING ... OCTOBER 4th

Save the date of Sunday, October 4 for the first HCC Family Golf Outing. It will be a nine-hole event with a primary goal of having families meet others in the HCC community and having fun. ( No golf experience required) kids under 13 will be free if accompanied by a paid adult! It will begin at 1:30 with Hamburgers & Hot dogs. There will be events and contests for kids and adults. There will be driving range activities. It will be 9 holes with foursomes, fivesomes or moresomes!!! THIS EVENT IS CENTERED AROUND FAMILIES HAVING FUN TOGETHER!! HCC WEEKEND ROAD TRIP, NOVEMBER 28-29

Knowing the importance of rolling up our sleeves and serving in tangible ways, the second HCC Weekend Road Trip on November 28-29th is in the works. Over the course of these two days, we will have over 30 local, community-based projects where individuals and families can serve. Projects will include all of our Ministry Partners, as well as many other organizations. In addition to working with non-profits, we are hoping to also help individuals and families in our area that are in need. If you are aware of someone who needs an extra hand, please let us know right away. Proposal forms are available and can be requested by email. The deadline for submitting projects is October 7th. We are excited about the potential for this weekend and sharing together as we work together for those in need.

BETH MOORE WOMEN'S STUDY, TUESDAYS THIS FALL

Join us for a new six-week Beth Moore study titled "LIVING BEYOND YOURSELF". This study encourages women to know the freedom of a fruitful, Spirit-filled life and looks at each trait listed in the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23. Two study groups will meet. One starting every Tuesday beginning with Tuesday, September 22 from 12:30-2:3 at Gig Harbor North and the other beginning Thursdays, October 1 from 10:00-12:00 near Rosedale Gardens. You may choose either one of these two sessions to attend. Directions and information on ordering study materials is provided once you join the group.
