MEET JASON LEREW, FAZE3 MIDDLE SCHOOL GUY...
On September 1st, Jason Lerew came on board to direct the Middle School program, Faze3 here at HCC.  Jason has been working with our Faze3 intern, Brandon Theinert on Sunday mornings with close to 40 middle school students.  Although Jason is not new to HCC, he is new to our leadership team, so we wanted to give him the chance to tell his story...

I was born in Tacoma and moved to Fox Island when I was seven years old with family.  I grew up playing PAA soccer and eventually played soccer for Kopachuck middle school and in club.  Sports have always been a big part of my life and it has taught me a great deal about teamwork and how to get things done.  Throughout my high school and early college years, I was very involved at our family's home church. It was there that I got involved in leadership with students and eventually interning in the Children's Ministry program.

I started my college years off at TCC taking night classes while I worked full-time during the day.  After two years, I spent a year at the School of Ministry-Tacoma Life Center.  I returned to TCC to finish my business degree and eventually transferred and graduated from NWU with degree in Children's Ministry.   While attending NWU, I also served as the Children's Director at Redwood Hills Church in Kirkland.

That August after graduation, I married my beautiful wife Stephanie.  We met while doing the Singing Christmas Tree at Life Center.  It's really a comical story but the short of it is, she was my angel and it was like the spot light was always on her!

I can honestly say the three things that have had the greatest impact on my life, without a doubt, include....
1)  My Parents: In making the effort to raise me in a Christian home and spending quality time with our family and me.
2)  My High School Pastors:  They invited me to join the leadership team and showed me that there sharing the Word of God can be fun, interesting, and life changing.
3)  God:  I have had a very clear call on my life to ministry and to kids.

Thanks Jason for sharing a part of yourself with us!
