HCC WEEKEND ROAD TRIP 2009
Thanksgiving is just one week away, which means that we are counting down toward the HCC Road Trip Weekend.  Over November 28 and 29th, we will be stepping out to serve families and non-profit agencies in the Pierce County area.  This year we have over 31 projects identified and team leads have stepped up and volunteered to coordinate volunteer teams, organize donations and pull together the details to make their project a reality.  As this date is approaching fast we wanted to make you aware of several key resources and dates that can make it easier for you and your family to get involved....

    * This Sunday, November 22nd, is final HCC Weekend Road Trip Fair.  On Sunday morning after both the 9:00 and 10:30 services, you will have the opportunity to sign up for specific projects, meet project leads and learn more about what we will be doing that weekend.  We have over 700 volunteer opportunities, but these spots will fill up fast.

    * Donations:  Several of our key projects are still in need of specific donations including the following projects...Wounded Warriors is in need of socks, bathrobes, books and magazines.  CareNet is in need of baby gifts for two showers that we are holding for new moms.  Fish Food Christmas Toy Drive is in need of Christmas toys for teens.

    * Remember, HCC Road Trip Weekend t-shirts are available to purchase on line at the Road Trip web page and will also be available to purchase this Sunday, November 22nd.  T-shirts can be purchased for $10 and all funds will go to support the HCC Weekend Road Trip projects.

We are very excited to work and serve on the upcoming Road Trip Weekend.  For more information on-line, including project descriptions and donations needed, CLICK HERE.  Don't miss out on this Sunday for the Road Trip Fair.

Chase the Pig, High School @ HCC

HCC high school students have been meeting every Sunday night to Chase the Pig.  This Sunday, more stuff will be happening, with dinner at 6:00 pm, great music, and more unbelievable pig trivia.  This Sunday, November 22nd, we will be hosting a quick Parent's Update, from 6:00-6:30, to hear more about what is ahead for your students at Chase the Pig.  For more information, look for Chase T. Pig on Facebook or Twitter HERE.

Financial Peace University, January 2010

Financial Peace University (FPU) is designed to teach you and your family how to get out of debt, stay out of debt, and build wealth.  FPU is without a doubt, the best program available targeting personal finances under the instruction of Dave Ramsey, facilitated by Cory Garnaas.  We will be offering our second FPU Seminar in January 2010 on January 9 and 16 at the Hope Center.   Registration is limited.  RSVP today HERE.

GROWTH GROUPS @ HCC

Taking the first step to be involved in community is never easy, but the relationships can enrich our lives beyond our expectations.  We currently have nine groups taking in new members and seven "sold out" or full groups.  These groups meet in a variety of locations from Fox Island to Gig Harbor North. If you'd like to be in a Growth Group, CLICK HERE and get started in building community.

PAUL WRIGHT CONCERT, December 13th

Don't miss out on your opportunity to hear Paul Wright, Trevor Davis and Dewey Lybecker in concert at the Hope Center on December 13th, Sunday night, 7:00 p.m. This is an area wide concert for High School Students, hosted by Young Life and staffed by our own Chase the Pig students.
